I enrolled in Ball State University and pursued my degree in Elementary Education and graduated in 2001. I taught for a few years before I earned my Master of Education from Butler University in 2007. I started my career teaching 2nd grade for 2 years. Teaching kindergarten was amazing and really showed me how important early literacy and math skills are to be successful in the other grades. I am so happy I made the change to 2nd grade because I love working with students on the more difficult skills in math, reading, and writing. It is amazing to see how the concepts that were taught in kindergarten have prepared them for 2nd grade. I love what I do, and after 24 years, I could not imagine doing anything else. I love seeing students be successful and excited when they accomplish new things.no matter his or her level.

When I am not teaching, I love reading, being craft, Geocaching, and spending time with my family.
