About Me

I have been teaching ESL for about 17 years now and it has been a rewarding experience. I have always enjoyed introducing the English language to my foreign students. Teaching literacy has allowed me to meet some of the most extraordinary students and their determination and desire to learn English, motivates me. I enjoy the eagerness most of them have when learning, but I also enjoy teaching and guiding the ones that struggle with learning. I am passionate about being an advocate for students that struggle with learning and guiding them towards enjoying the learning process. I have learned through my extensive teaching experience that each student is different and that they learn in different ways. I have also learned to have patience and understanding with all my students; they are young and still trying to figure out their emotions and feelings toward everything in their life. One of my goals is to guide my students to have a positive attitude toward learning. I always try to provide a more positive learning experience for my students. I am a firm believer that education opens doors; believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life; I try to impart this appreciation to all my students.
