My passion for education ignited early on, leading me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an Early Intervention endorsement from the University of Oregon. I dedicated my initial teaching years to early childhood special education classrooms, where I witnessed the power of individualized learning. While I enjoy teaching across all subjects, it's the magic of early reading that truly captivates me. Witnessing a kindergartner or first grader sound out their first word, or light up as they connect with a story, is so amazing to watch. I firmly believe that every child possesses a unique learning style, and it's our responsibility as educators to adapt and guide them on their individual paths to success. Through tutoring and spending time with my own children, I've seen the importance of patience, flexibility, and creating a nurturing environment where learning is both exciting and empowering. In my free time, you'll often find me curled up with a good book, planning my next travel adventure, or spending time with my family. I am eager to bring my passion, dedication, and experience back to teaching, where I can once again make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
