Sam
- I graduated from Georgia State University as a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
- I care about helping students learn, and I love sharing knowledge.
About Me
I love all areas of philosophy, but my particular interests are in the philosophy of language and science, with expertise in practical and applied ethics. During my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, I discovered that my talents and passion lie in one-on-one and small-group interaction, instruction, and tutoring. Education gives students the skills, facts, and ideas they need to overcome societal and personal challenges and live a fulfilled life; education is necessary for freedom and happiness. I tutor students in social studies, math, writing, and more. I am especially enthusiastic about helping students develop their executive function and take charge of their learning using organizational strategies, critical thinking skills, and metacognition. In my personal life, I enjoy woodworking and bicycling. I run a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with my fiance and some friends when we can all find the time.
