About Me

I am passionate about helping students because everyone deserves to find joy in learning, and my goal is to make learning engaging and accessible for all. In high school, I tutored middle school students in math and expanded my tutoring in college to include high schoolers and college students. While my primary focus is math, I have also taught a poetry class, tutored Spanish speakers in English, and worked on reading and writing skills. This diverse experience has equipped me to adapt to various learning styles and needs. I earned my BA in Mathematics from Pomona College and attended a magnet high school focused on math and science. My strong educational background helps me tailor my teaching methods to individual needs. In my sessions, I pause to ask questions, ensuring comprehension and engagement, and offer multiple ways to process information, whether visually, through real-world examples, or storytelling. My approach fosters a collaborative environment where I learn from students as much as they learn from me. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, outdoor walks, cooking, and spending time with my family. These activities keep me grounded and bring a balanced, patient perspective to my life. I look forward to helping students achieve their academic goals and making learning a rewarding experience.
