About Me

I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe education is a powerful tool for personal and societal transformation. My experience working with students spans over 15 years, during which I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact personalized instruction can have on a student's confidence and academic success. I earned my Master's Degree in Education, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively support diverse learning needs. Currently, I am focused on continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest educational strategies and techniques. I tutor a variety of subjects including Kindergarten Readiness, Language Arts, and creative writing. I particularly enjoy tutoring Language Arts and creative writing because they allow me to help students express their thoughts and ideas, fostering both their communication skills and their creativity. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and express themselves. I strive to adapt my tutoring style to meet the individual needs of each student, using a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities to foster understanding and retention. Outside of academia, I am deeply involved in special needs advocacy. This interest not only enriches my personal life but also provides me with valuable insights and experiences that I bring into my tutoring sessions.
