About Me

I graduated from Amherst College with a degree in Geology and History. Upon graduation I worked as a full-time Geology teaching assistant and lab tech at Colorado College. I then moved to Memphis, TN to pursue a more traditional teaching career, and taught kindergarten for 2 years. Since then, I have tutored 2nd and 3rd graders in reading comprehension. As a dedicated tutor, my mission is to empower students to achieve their full potential. Drawing from my own educational journey, where personalized tutoring and small group instruction played pivotal roles, I am committed to providing tailored support that recognizes individual learning styles, strengths, and areas for growth. I believe in the capabilities of all students and am passionate about cultivating a love for learning beyond traditional academic settings, particularly through fostering a deep appreciation for reading. In my current role as a Park Ranger, I educate the public about local environments and advocate for their conservation. This experience not only enhances my ability to communicate complex ideas effectively but also underscores my commitment to education and community engagement. I am eager to bring this passion and expertise into tutoring, where I aim to inspire and empower students on their educational journeys.
