I bring a wealth of experience and passion to tutoring, rooted in my background in special and elementary education from Northern Arizona University. Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of teaching in both California and Arizona, with the first two years dedicated to special education and the subsequent three years nurturing young minds in first grade. Additionally, I've spent three summers teaching first grade in summer school settings, where I honed my skills in engaging students beyond the traditional classroom environment. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where each child feels valued and empowered, regardless of their learning style. During the challenges of the pandemic, I successfully transitioned to online teaching, ensuring continuity in education while maintaining strong connections with my students and their families. Beyond the classroom, I prioritize collaboration with parents to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they need to thrive academically and emotionally. My students have consistently responded positively to my approach, knowing that I genuinely care about their growth and achievement. I lead a balanced and active lifestyle outside of my professional pursuits. I find serenity in the great outdoors through hiking and gardening, and I'm always experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Exploring diverse restaurants and cuisines is a favorite pastime, and I enjoy getting lost in a good book during my downtime. Staying fit and active is important to me, and I prioritize regular workouts. Traveling to new places also enriches my life, broadening my perspective and creating lasting memories.
