I then became a principal for elementary and I also was assistant principal at middle school. As a teacher and a principal, I always valued relationships. I think it's very important that you know your student and that they know you. As a tutor, I think it's a great opportunity to get to know students as individual learners and to help them become successful and to meet their goals.

I love being outside. We have a hobby farm where we have goats and sheep and rabbits. My youngest daughter is involved in 4H and so we do a lot of activities centering around the 4-H values. I have a special little goat named Romeo, who I take to schools and to nursing homes to help brighten the day of students and our senior citizens. We also love to go to our cottage on the lake and go fishing on our pontoon boat and just spending time with family there.
