I received my early childhood education degree from The Ohio State University and taught kindergarten in Ohio for 2 years before moving Texas. I taught kindergarten for 2 more years in Texas, then 4th grade for one year. I left teaching to turn my passion for food and design into a career, and started my own digital marketing company to help restaurants market their business online. Ultimately, I miss helping kids learn and grow and I think tutoring is the perfect way to fill that void! I pride myself on being excellent at teaching small group guided reading and have a love for math. I am a strong believer in student-centered learning and bringing their interests into the curriculum. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, performing, and playing soccer or volleyball.

I love to travel with my husband to experience the culture, food, and fun of new places! Reading is a huge hobby of mine and I frequent our public library. Singing is my biggest passion and I just recently got back into performing on stage again with the Houston Show Choir. I also enjoy playing sports with my friends like volleyball or soccer. Being on the water is my happy place, whether it is on a boat, on the beach, or by a pool. I have 2 cats who I love dearly!
