About Me

I have been teaching Spanish to all levels of language learnings for 15 years. I am passionate about learning languages because being bilingual or multilingual is the key to success in the world. With it, we learn about others' cultures and are able to become introspective about our own culture. I love helping students learn how to converse in Spanish as well as the nuances of the language, those grammatical details that help us sound more like native Spanish speakers. I started learning Spanish when I was a freshmen in high school and have continued my journey (20+ years). I attended the University of Wyoming and majored in Spanish and Secondary Education. I also lived abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in World Languages other than English (achieving certification and recertification). I am qualified to teach Spainsh 1 through AP Language & Culture and AP Literature & Culture. I love to teach Spainsh 1 and 2 because their growth is so monumental, but I also am an expert in facilitating proficiency for the higher levels of linguistic abilities. My teaching style is comprehensible input while catering to what you need to focus on in your learning journey. I have 15 years of resources and a repertoire of activities that will facilitate our lessons. Outside of teaching, I am very busy with my husband and three children. We garden and have chickens.
