- I obtained my initial EMT certification in the 80's while volunteering for a local fire department and ambulance service.
- In the late 90's I had obtained my national certification as well as state licensure.
About Me
I have worked in rural settings, as well ad dense urban. During the Iraq conflict I went to Iraq as a contract Paramedic for the Army for a year. When I returned from the deployment, I went into remote medicine and worked for over 10 years in the offshore as well as international locations. I have maintained my Paramedic licensure and also have my Critical Care Emergency Transport Paramedic, instructor for American Heart Association in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support as well as various types of workers safety training. While I worked in the EMS field full time, I also taught Paramedic courses and was a course director and have proctored for national and state exams. I also have a degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
Hobbies & Interests
["I am always outdoors","either working in my expansive yard or camping. My children are grown","so I enjoy outdoor activities with them and my grandchildren; we paddle board","kayak","and hike. I live in an area where I can be at the Pacific Ocean in an hour or up on the mountain."]
