About Me
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from ULM. While at Northwestern State University I received my Masters in Educational Technology and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Instruction. I began my career teaching 5th and 6th grades in my hometown. When I moved, I began in early childhood teaching a transition class K-1. After I received my master's, I worked as a technology facilitator and taught teachers at various schools. I have experienced many grade levels in the 36 years I have been helping children learn. In my experience helping students with classwork or standardized testing is one of the most important things about teaching. I am most passionate about children being able to learn, all students can learn it just happens at different speeds and in different ways. I believe all children can be successful with a little help if needed. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my grandchildren. I love to travel and explore; I believe this is a wonderful way of learning about our world.
