About Me
I am a graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Latin American Studies. I also attended an intensive Spanish language school in Mexico City following my college graduation. My career has been spent in the public port industry, with extensive international travel and exposure to a variety of cultures. I am passionate about the importance of learning a foreign language and the value of understanding other cultures. I also have a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and have served as a volunteer tutor through a local charitable organization.
Hobbies & Interests
I am an admitted " news junkie", subscribing to around 6 online newspapers, which feeds my longstanding interest in national and international political affairs. I am also an avid traveler, having just returned from 3 weeks in Argentina and Brazil. In my spare time I enjoy cycling, hiking, and golf.
