About Me
I tutored students for four years in my high school's "Quant Center," assisting in everything from Biology to Algebra to AP Calculus. Additionally, I have helped peers with writing and English grammar and syntax throughout middle school, high school, and college. My passion for teaching comes from a desire to help others feel the wonderful satisfaction that I feel when finally grasping a new topic. The success that I feel when figuring out a tough problem or concept is something I find so rewarding, and I can't wait to help others feel that same accomplishment. I tutor in several AP topics: Biology, Statistics, U.S. History, Calculus AB, and Environmental Science. I also tutor in standard-level topics: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Statistics, Biology, and all levels of English grammar/writing skills. I tutor on all sections of the SAT and ACT tests, as I have two years of experience being tutored for those assessments. I am most passionate about all of my tutoring areas; I don't have just one that I enjoy more than the other areas.
Hobbies & Interests
I play tennis and volleyball at the club level at Colby. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and spending quality time with my two cats, Tippy and Stella. I also love to exercise, with some of my favorite workouts being boxing and rowing. Lastly, I greatly enjoy volunteering at my local giving center and with Special Olympics, as I love to give back to my community when possible.
