About Me

I have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics and Astronomy (double major) from the University of Texas at Austin. My undergrad included multiple high-level Physics and Astronomy courses which were significantly math-intensive. I have also done multiple research projects under the mentorship of prominent UT Astronomy faculty, one of which culminated in a refereed lead-author publication which can be found at https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/1538-3881/accdda/pdf. I have been offered admission to a PhD program in Astronomy at UCLA starting in September 2024. In the months leading up to graduate school, I am seeking tutoring jobs in STEM related subjects. My goal is to gain experience helping students learn concepts in easy and fun ways. This will be valuable for me considering my long-term goal is to become a university professor and teach my own classes. My favorite subjects to tutor are Physics, Astronomy, Math, and Python. My experience in the first three stems from my education, while my experience in python stems mainly from my various research projects. My tutoring style is primarily based on helping students understand concepts. My goal is to help students learn and understand concepts that they may have been having trouble with in the past as well as offer them insights on how to approach such concepts and situations in the future.
