About Me

I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and UT Southwestern, where I earned my master's degree in biomedical engineering. I began teaching as a tennis coach, developing strong communication and one-on-one instructional skills, and have been tutoring with Varsity Tutors since 2024 in math and science, including Algebra, Algebra II, SAT Algebra, and Biology. My tutoring style is personalized and focused on understanding how each student thinks. I enjoy getting to know my students and having open conversations about their learning styles. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable saying when they do not understand a concept, allowing us to work through it together. I adapt my teaching to meet the needs of my students, whether that means breaking down concepts step by step, emphasizing problem-solving strategies, or reinforcing conceptual understanding. My goal is to build confidence and independence.
