About Me

I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Applied Statistics at University of California at Berkeley. Prior to that, I studied Statistics and Analytics at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with the Highest Distinction. Throughout my academic journey, I have dedicated myself to sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for learning with others. This journey began as an undergraduate learning assistant, where I supported my peers in Calculus I and Econ 101, nurturing a passion for teaching that has only grown stronger over time. Since then, the subjects I tutor have spanned from mathematics and statistics to Python programming. Statistics is my favorite subject to tutor because it offers a powerful lens through which we can understand the world. I enjoy breaking down complicated concepts into digestible parts, using analogies, real-life examples, and interactive tools to illuminate the subject matter. Witnessing the moment a student transitions from confusion to clarity is incredibly gratifying. My teaching philosophy is centered on creating a supportive, engaging, and interactive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and practical application of concepts. I strive to make each tutoring session relevant to my students' interests and academic goals, using real-world examples to bridge theory and practice. This student-centered approach is complemented by my adaptive tutoring style, which is tailored to meet the unique learning style and pace of each student. Outside the classroom, I enjoy dancing, singing, going to the gym, and playing video games. This allows me to connect with students on a more personal level while infusing my teaching approach with creativity and dynamism. Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is not just to help students succeed academically but to inspire them to see the value and applicability of what they learn in shaping their understanding of the world and their place in it. I look forward to the opportunity to work with students with diverse backgrounds, sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for learning, and contributing to their academic and personal growth.
