I specifically delved into the intricacies of Greek, Latin, and Ancient Mediterranean studies, alongside the rich tapestry of both poetic and prose writing. These disciplines not only expanded my intellectual horizons but also ignited a fervor within me to share the wonders of these subjects with others. During my time at Reed College, I served as a dedicated peer tutor, offering support and guidance to fellow students in a range of subjects, including Greek, Latin, and English. As a peer tutor, I had the privilege of working closely with individuals, providing personalized assistance tailored to their unique learning styles and needs. Moreover, I also had the opportunity to meet with students in group settings, where I learned to foster an environment conducive to academic growth through collaboration and teamwork. Through my role as a peer tutor, I not only deepened my own understanding of the subjects I tutored but also cultivated invaluable communication and teaching skills, empowering my peers to excel academically and confidently tackle challenges in their studies. As a tutor proficient in Latin, Greek, English, and History, I find immense fulfillment in guiding students through the complexities of these subjects. I believe that each session is an opportunity to engage with the material passionately, embracing the challenges that accompany learning and teaching alike. My teaching philosophy revolves around the principle of adaptability; I listen attentively to the needs of my students and tailor my approach accordingly. Whether it's incorporating visual aids for visual learners or incorporating interactive activities to enhance comprehension, I strive to create a dynamic learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles. I advocate for breaks as needed to promote student well-being and ensure optimal productivity, as well as maintaining open communication so students feel comfortable addressing any issues they see in our tutoring sessions. Beyond academia, I find solace and rejuvenation in the great outdoors. You can frequently find me hiking, backing, skiing, and camping amidst nature's most beautiful sights. I also find joy in attending any type of music event -- whether it be live concerts, orchestra concerts, or DJ events.
