I have been writing, editing, and tutoring professionally for nearly a decade and have had so many experiences working with different types of clients and subjects. After receiving my degree in journalism, I worked briefly as a news reporter and then decided to focus on writing as a hobby in my free time. Since then, I have built a strong portfolio including major academic research projects, business and financial plans, and large-scale editing of novels and legal documents. Currently, I am in graduate school for technical writing and professional communication and am looking forward to working on more diverse and complex projects. The same skills that are needed to write effectively are the very same that help us learn how to organize our thoughts and put forward good arguments. To be a good writer, you need to really engage with the language, practice writing in different styles, adapt to different ways of thinking about and doing things, and have a strong sense of determination and a desire to succeed. I think that writing is the foundation to successful learning, and I want to help my students refine their writing skills so they can have more engaging and satisfying learning opportunities.
