The NFL and professional rodeo have nothing on being a teacher. I thought I had achieved my "dream jobs" when I got to work in professional football and rodeo, but changing courses in my mid-twenties taught me that teaching was my real "dream job". I have been a special education teacher for approximately twenty years. Most of my time has been spent in middle school, but I have also worked in elementary school. Most of my work has been in public education but I did work in a couple of international schools in Singapore and South Korea. I am currently a teacher of students who are blind or visually impaired. I love being with my students. Learning CAN be fun (I love to laugh), and when possible tie it to student's experiences. They are the owners of their educations!

Travel- I lived overseas which was great fun. Sports- mainly football and soccer (played and coached soccer). Spending time doing projects around my house. I love learning about animals, different places in the world, historical events, and people. Laugh and laugh more! Spending time with my friends and family. I have recently gotten into cooking and trying recipes.
