About Me

I am a semi-retired Texas Certified Master teacher with a BA of English and an MA of English. My certificate includes the following subjects: Gifted and Talented supplemental EC-12; English Second Language supplemental EC-12; English Language Arts and Reading grade levels 4-8 and 8-12; Generalist EC-6. I have taught Advanced Placement English Language and Composition as well as Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition. I also teach dual credit English. I was educated at a liberal arts college in Oklahoma (USAO), and I received my MA of English from the University of Texas at Tyler campus. I am a proud member of several honor societies including Kappa Delta Pi for excellence in education and Sigma Tau Delta for English. I love working with students at all developmental levels with a focus on writing to learn and read. I am also really good with test prep. Thank you!
