I love teaching students in all aspects of the English curriculum, everything from grammar and composition to English literature and everything in between. I have taught English to students in classrooms from middle school through college. I have worked as both a classroom teacher and writing consultant/tutor. I also have had the opportunity to teach many different types of students. I have worked with English language learners and learners with special needs. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also worked as ACT / SAT prep tutor and an advisor for students with disabilities. I enjoy helping students overcome challenges. I want to empower students to find their own voices, whether they are writing a college essay or responding to a work of literature.

I am an avid reader of all kinds of fiction. I am particularly fond of the fantasy, suspense, and horror genres. I am interested in the weird things of the world, whether that be scientific oddities, unusual facts, or unique places. I love animals. In fact, I actually went to college to be a veterinarian and have worked with animals in vet clinics. Now, I just stick to taking care of my lazy house cat. I am singer and currently looking for opportunities to use my voice.
