In December 2022 I graduated from Fuji Language School in Maebashi City, Japan, and I'm currently finishing up a bachelor's degree in Asian Studies at Utah State University. Over the course of my 10+ years of Japanese study, I've learned quite a bit about Japan, from its culture to the inner workings of the language, and I can't wait to share that knowledge with you. I have passed the JLPT, so if you're interested in taking the exam, I may be a good fit for you! I strongly believe that learning does not have to be boring! I specialize in Beginners Japanese, Intermediate Japanese, Kanji Studies, and Japanese Culture. I have experience teaching in Japanese and come from a long line of teachers. Additionally, I hold a JLPT N3 certification, proving conversational fluency in Japanese. I have plans to take the JLPT N1, the native speaker level test, after graduating.

I love Japanese culture and study it constantly through art and media analysis. I even have an on hand list of Anime for beginners to help you learn grammar and vocabulary from your favorite shows! I love video games, and am always playing the latest Nintendo releases, and especially love to play games in Japanese. My two favorite games of all time are Super Mario Bros. 3 and Ghost of Tsushima. I also love Japanese urban myths and mysteries, I'm an avid watcher of Sakura Stardust for that reason, and horror is probably my favorite genre! My favorite Nintendo character is Kirby, and my main in Super Smash Bros. is Bowser Jr.
