- I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literature from University of California Santa Cruz.
- Since graduating, I have dedicated my time serving elementary and middle school youth through the Americorps as a teacher.
About Me
I love teaching. During City Year, I focussed on small groups and 1 on 1 interventions in math, ELA, and social emotional learning. During Foodcorps, I taught hands-on, whole class lessons centering the garden, food and culture. Additionally, I have experience facilitating afterschool programs, summer school programs, and camp counseling. While I have experience teaching a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about science, literature and math. I love working with young people. They have such wonderful energy and I learn as much from them as they do from me. Children are capable learners. Teachers are here to instill the belief they can do anything they set their minds to. I love what I do. Outside of teaching, I enjoy making herbal medicine, volunteering at community gardens, meditating and creating art.
Hobbies & Interests
I love making herbal medicine like: salves, tea blends, tinctures. I love fermenting drinks/food like: kombucha and slaws. I love to read, write, paint, dance, sing, meditate, cook, and bake.
