About Me

Ciao! I'm San, and I am a medical student at the Sapienza University of Rome. During my undergraduate years, I completed my Bachelor's of Science in chemical biology and pharmacology and worked as a teaching assistant, research technician, resident advisor, and taekwondo instructor. Currently, I tutor elementary school to college level students in various subjects, including SAT, biology, chemistry, and physics. I personally obtained test scores of 1560 for SAT, 34 for ACT, 5's for AP calculus BC, chemistry, and physics 1, 2, and C mechanics. When I tutor, I recognize the varying levels of K-12 and college education around the world. With this in mind, I help students build a solid foundation on which they can progress their learning to the next level. Whether from algebra to trigonometry or biology to biochemistry, a solid footing is essential to be able to fully understand and internalize new topic matter. This solid foundation comes hand-in-hand with critical thinking skills, the ability to tackle problems outside of immediate comfort level, and the self-confidence to ask questions on new and unfamiliar concepts. For me, I find teaching a truly gratifying experience. I absolutely love seeing my students' "eureka" moments, when all the pieces fall into place and something just *clicks*. I don't think I will ever get tired of it!
