About Me

I am a licensed educator with over ten years of experience working with children of all ages. As an educator, I believe that when given the right tools any student can succeed. I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. I love to see students come alive when the magic that is already inside of them is unlocked. I like to think I teach with my heart then my head. I like to build relationships with, and get to know students in order to ensure I am working to teach the whole child! I currently hold a teaching certification in grades 1- 6 general education as well as special education. I tutor in elementary and middle school teaching reading, writing and math. But, I must say math and reading are my favorite subjects to teach. I love how reading can take you to new places and give you new experiences each time you open a book. Although Math can be tricky, gaining a basic understanding can change your whole outlook.
