I developed a passion for teaching while I was living in Brazil where my friend and I had a blast teaching our students English while they made fun of our Portuguese (only at first... we got better). I come from a family of educators. My mom, my aunts, my uncle, and my grandparents teach every age group from pre-K to graduate school, so the pursuit of knowledge was always encouraged at my house.

I love doing things outside including everything from hiking, rock climbing, and backpacking to snowboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. I also enjoy reading, making a cacophony with my guitar and keyboard, and binging TV shows.
