- My teaching philosophy is that all students can learn and improve.
About Me
This comes from a student centered approach. I believe the key to improving reading and writing skills begins where the student is now, then build towards the future. For test prep. It's all about strategies! I teach how to approach the test by acquiring knowledge, but also by looking at the test through a strategic lens. Before teaching grades 6-12 in English, Reading, Journalism, and Research classes, I was an adjunct instructor for communication and writing at the community college level. In addition, my full-time position was an advisor for the College of Arts and Sciences. Although I assisted all types of students, my primary focus was first year of college students. Even that was a wide demographic. As both a teacher and advisor, I had students who were high school graduates, veterans, GED, recipients, and more! I look forward to working with a variety of students through Varsity Tutors
Hobbies & Interests
