About Me

I am a graduate of the Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration with Distinction, and a Concentration in Business Computer Systems I also hold a Masters of Business Administration from the same institution with an emphasis in International Management. My first teaching assignment was teaching for the University of Maryland as part of the Military community throughout Europe and Bahrain. I enjoy travel and the mix of cultures in these classes was not only enriching for me and the students but were a learning experience for me. Students were not only active duty personnel but also dependents and local folks associated with the Base. I also taught at the University of Maryland in Japan. I have also taught for the University of Phoenix; both Undergraduate and Graduate levels. My Father was a teacher and he instilled in me the excitement and joy of helping folks learn and succeed in life. I currently work at an Engineering School in Socorro, New Mexico as the manager of Distance Education Technology. I have worked with technology for most of my career when I was not teaching. I strongly believe in the idea that the most important concept a student learns or expands in any class is the skill of critical thinking. This gives students the skills to do well in any endeavor, which is the real goal of Education An improved Quality of Life. I also strongly believe that my politics do not serve any purpose in the classroom. When I was not teaching I worked in many jobs, mostly in the area of Information Management in business. I love basketball and exercising. I no longer run, but still, work out (maybe to excess) on a stationary bike. My focus is on the student learning the skills that will serve them well for the remainder of their lives.
