About Me

I am a graduate of North Carolina State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. Since graduation, I worked for an Environmental Engineering Consulting Firm for 1 year and then moved to the Dominican Republic to work for a non-profit organization for 1 year as well. During both of these years, I studied Spanish extensively. I have informally taught ESL to the people in the Dominican Republic, as well as a little bit of Spanish to my friends and family. I am most passionate about learning languages, but also specialize in tutoring math, specifically algebra. In my experience with helping students from all levels learn English, I always try to make our lessons fun and relaxed. I truly believe this to be the easiest and most time-effective way to learn. I am someone who is patient, kind, and wants to see my students succeed in class and in life.
