I have tutored students who have ADHD, helped middle school students improve their writing skills, and have helped elementary school students learn core math skills like multiplication. I'm a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and International and Global Studies. These activities kept the student engaged in a challenging subject. I also taught them core writing skills that improved the quality of their essays and helped them develop a new interest in creative writing. I have experience working with students who have complex learning needs. As a private tutor and learning assistant, I provided extensive academic support to two students with ADHD for two years. I also worked with a child development specialist to co-create and teach a personalized lesson plan that improved the handwriting skills of a child with special needs.
