About Me

I love learning, researching, and teaching math and science (in particular physics!). I have been a Teaching Assistant for multiple years during my undergraduate studies where I helped many students complete physics homework and prep for tests. I have hours upon hours of experience helping students both in-person and online. I enjoy helping students improve their understanding of physics and mathematics. I also hope to help students see the wonder that can be found in problem solving and understanding the world around them through science and math. I try to guide the student in finding the answers themselves. This usually involves asking questions to help the student think in the right way to then solve problems on their own. I'm patient and willing to work through problems at any level needed, but the goal is to help the student feel confident in solving similar problems themselves, like on a test for example. I have a BS degree in physics, with minors in astronomy and mathematics, from Brigham Young University. I will be pursuing a PhD in physics from North Carolina State University.
