About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Central Oklahoma. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Education in 2008. Since graduation, I received OK and TX teaching certifications in Language Arts and English, grades 5 through 12. From 2008 through 2018, I virtually taught Language Arts to 5th through 8th graders and English, Speech and Debate, Creative Writing, and Journalism to 9th through 12th grade students. The last two years I taught Reading, Language Arts and English to Kindergarten through 12th graders for EPIC charter schools in OK. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Writing, and Literature. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for benchmarks and state tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
