About Me

I am a Registered Nurse with over 35 years of experience in the Emergency Department, Critical Care and Interfacility transport. My academic career has been working with students in the nursing and emergency medical services programs for over 20 years. My Master of Science in Nursing was received from Bowie State University in Maryland. Nursing school is an arduous journey. Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology are areas that I enjoy teaching. A strong foundation in these areas is necessary for planning the care of your patients. I will challenge you to know and understand not just what, but also the "why". As a Nationally Registered Paramedic and past Department Chair of an Emergency Medical Services program, I am in a unique position to assist students with their preparation for the National Registry written examination. It is my passion to assist nursing and emergency medical services students achieve their professional license and certification.
