As an instructor my role has always been to help students be successful in their academic studies by clearly explaining technical information, and doing such instruction with a level of confidence, passion and enthusiasm while reminding students that an education is also intended to train them to think and develop habits that can serve them well in the future. Each student is unique and individually gifted, and as an instructor, my greatest joy is serving students by encouraging them to learn and master new material. My specific focus is college students in their first and second year of engineering studies (specifically, Statics, Mechanics of Materials) and for students taking math classes in middle school and high school. I have always loved math, and as I tell my grandchildren, "Math is our friend; math will be with us to the end!"

I enjoy planting a garden and working in the yard. I also enjoy working Sudoku puzzles. One of my greatest joys is spending time with my wife and grandchildren.
