I received my Bachelor of Science in Learning/Behavior Disabilities. I am currently working on my doctorate degree in Special Education. I have taught special education at all 3 grades levels, but a majority of my time teaching has been at the middle school. I am passionate about teaching because I love to see when the students have those "light bulb" moments. I love when they are able to conquer a math concept that they struggled with or those overcoming those writer's blocks they had, and simply seeing those that have struggled obtain some success along the way. I spent a couple of years tutoring high school students through the Upward Bound program. While I tutor a variety of subjects, math and English/Reading are my favorites. I am a huge advocate for education, ALL Students can learn, just in their own way. It is my job to help the students figure out what works for them. In my limited free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and watching sports.
