About Me

Hello, hello! My name is Korina, and I have 7 years of classroom teaching experience. 1 year in the Philippines, 4 years in California and 2 years in Washington. Although I've spent all 7 years teaching Middle School Math and Science, my license and certification (in the Philippines and in Washington is that of Secondary Mathematics. I also have 4 years of tutoring experience, also in Mathematics, with students ranging from 1st graders to adults working their way to getting their teaching credential. I did not always love Mathematics as student, which may be weird. It all started with my 6th grade Math teacher, so I know first hand the importance of having that trusted adult in learning Math -- someone who, more than being knowledgeable and proficient in Math, is patient and understanding, who believes in you, who challenges and pushes you to be better.
