About Me

I am a graduate from Georgia Gwinnett College with a bachelors degree in early childhood education. I have worked specifically with Kindergarten, third and fifth grades. I am certified to teach all elementary students. I am also an esol endorsed teacher which means I can teach students who are English language learners. During my time in the kindergarten classroom, I taught EIP students. These students are struggling readers that were not meeting grade level. My passion is teaching and helping students to be successful. While I love teaching across all subjects areas, I have a strong passion for teaching reading and writing. I know what its like to struggle as a reader because I struggled in elementary school. I want to help those students gain the confidence and skills needed to be successful readers. Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my family. I love reading books to my two little boys and hope to instill in them the importance of reading. I also love a good adventure and the outdoors.
