About Me

My tutoring philosophy is rooted in patience, curiosity, and genuine belief in students' ability to learn. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and am completing my final semester of an M.S. in Counseling and Development, which informs my calm, supportive, and student-centered approach. I primarily work with middle school, high school, and college students on English, literature, and writing, including reading comprehension, analytical essays, and research papers. I believe strong writing begins with conversation, and I enjoy helping students clarify ideas, build confidence, and develop strategies that work for them. I have extensive experience as a Writing Center Consultant and Student Manager, tutoring students across disciplines, as well as providing rubric-based feedback for grades 412. Whether we are brainstorming, revising, or starting from scratch, I aim to make learning feel manageable, collaborative, and empowering.
