About Me

I am passionate about helping students because I love to learn and share in ideas. "Teaching" others and gaining their perspective is like "relearning" something and enjoying that "ah ha" moment all over again. I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, sponsored foreign exchange students, and collaborated with other artists and volunteers through community arts organizations. As my high school Valedictorian, I attended Xavier University on a full academic scholarship where I attained a BFA with a concentration in Drawing and Painting. I also studied classical dance from a German ballerina through a long teaching apprenticeship. I have always believed in the connections between art, athletics, and academics and that we learn best by doing. As a lifelong learner I have entered into jobs and projects where I could learn and share new skills both inside and outside the classroom. All of this experience has prepared me for my most important career as devoted wife and a proud mother of two. Currently I tutor English/ AP test taking, reading, writing, studio arts, design, and executive function. My true passion is education and how we best learn new skills, information, and alternative perspectives and cultures. I love travel, stories of all kinds, live theatre, and the art of conversation.
