About Me

Bilingual science educator with 15+ years teaching AP Biology, STEM, and Spanish to diverse learners including ELLs, newcomers, and refugee students. Originally from Puerto Rico, fluent in Spanish and English. I've taught middle school through AP across Puerto Rico, New York, and North Carolina. My approach draws on Universal Design for Learning: I adapt to how you learn, build on strengths, and make science meaningful through real-world connection. I'm also a published poet and author of three collections, including Quantum Weaver Yocah (PEN Puerto Rico Honorable Mention, 2015), and contributor to Bioversa (Editorial Gnomo, 2024).
