About Me

I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I graduated from Denison University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Creative Writing. I have gained thorough knowledge in Math, English, and Information Technology via the experiences I have had in tutoring students at elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels all over the world. In particular, I have worked extensively with students to develop and hone their writing skills for tests, college application essays, and academic papers. I am also well-versed in test preparation such as SAT and ACT exam preparation. When tutoring math, I have several different techniques that cater to a variety of students, but overall, I like to keep concepts simple and fun to learn. Repetition, flash cards, worksheets and practice tests are my main materials for helping students learn. My tutor sessions typically start with going over the student's current coursework, where they are struggling, and most importantly what they expect from me. From there, it is critical to plan out an organized schedule that will lead the student down the best path of success.
