I live on Galveston Island, and I enjoy most activities related to island life – beach-combing, sailing, ocean swimming, and collecting maritime relics. Of course, I’m also a quintessential nerd and spend much of my free time programming, theorizing, and exploring the more abstruse and arcane aspects of existence. But, I’ve also been known to enjoy a good pint of beer and hours of gratuitously bad television. I also dig most things retro (particularly the “Mad Men” and Jazz eras), and – although I’m reluctant to admit it - I can be a bit of a hipster and a dandy. Please don’t hold that against me.
