I have worked as a language, and art teacher as well as an independent tutor for and with friends between the ages of 12 and 50 years old. Yes, according to me, my students are not my clients, but my friends based on the type of work relationship that I have always developed with them. I also work as a substitute teacher for the Arlington ISD school district and have two beautiful children that help me keep my teaching abilities always sharp and fun. I have not only became better at it, but as any other professional, I created a great method that will not only benefit you as my student, but will keep you interested in the subject. One thing is to need help in a subject, but another thing is to have true interest in learning that subject. These several years of experience taught me one very important thing: you can never succeed in anything if your heart is not attached to it. One of my roles as your tutor is to help you connect with the subject, reveal to you the hidden things about what makes the subject important and how you can relate to it as a person. A tutor is like a close friend that you can trust and share your problems with at all times. In addition, a tutor is the only one person that can understand your problems better than yourself. As your tutor, I will always make sure that you feel comfortable with the subject and my tutoring methods. Learning does not have to be serious and boring. My personal style is to make it as fun as possible with tools such as audios, videos, power points and many more. One thing about our subconscious is that it retains quicker when is less stressful and friendly material.
