Varsity Tutors offers a San Antonio CFA course that can help both experienced professionals and students from schools like the University of Texas at San Antonio and St. Mary's University - Texas experience more effective CFA test prep. The CFA is a challenging exam that can require long hours of study and a lot of self-discipline. It can be harder to study if you don't have a clear idea where to start, what materials to review, and where to get answers if you stumble on tough concepts or topics in the test. With the San Antonio CFA prep course, you can have a comprehensive, well-structured curriculum taught by highly qualified instructors with years of experience helping aspiring finance professionals succeed in their CFA.
What are some of the topics a San Antonio CFA class can cover?
The CFA is made up of three Levels--Level I, II, and III. Each level increases in difficulty and you need to pass each one before you can proceed to the next. All three Levels will cover these topics: Ethical and Professional Standards, Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, Quantitative Methods, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Equity Investments, Fixed Income, Alternative Investments, Derivatives, and Economics.
For Level I, there will be 240 multiple-choice questions equally divided into two test sessions (morning and afternoon). There will be 120 multiple-choice questions for Level II also split into a morning and afternoon test session. Level III combines essay questions with multiple-choice questions. The essay questions can give a maximum score of 180 points while the multiple-choice questions are made up of 11 questions (8 vignettes with 6 questions each and 3 vignettes with 4 questions each). Your San Antonio CFA class instructor can give a comprehensive review for each Level of the CFA so you can become more familiar with its content and format. The test is given annually in June for all the test Levels and there is an additional test date each year in December for the CFA Level I exam.
What are the advantages of enrolling in a San Antonio CFA course?
Going through your CFA test prep with services provided by Varsity Tutors can offer a number of advantages over doing a self-study approach for your review. You can study using a comprehensive and organized curriculum so you know what you need to learn and you can easily track your progress per topic. Going through this structured learning can also make it easier for you to retain what you've learned since you're routinely adding new information and building upon concepts you already learned in previous lessons. Add to this the advantage of having expert and knowledgeable instructors on your side who can help you make sense of topics you might be struggling with. The instructors go through a rigorous selection process so you can be sure that they are not only experts in what they're teaching but are also good communicators able to clearly impart concepts tested in the CFA.
Another advantage of these courses is that they are offered online, so you can study without leaving the comfort of your home. These online courses get rid of the hassles of commuting and allow you to focus on your test prep. You can imagine the amount of time, effort, and money you can save with this course which means you can invest more in your studies.
These online courses are conducted live in a virtual classroom using video chat and an online whiteboard. You can work on practice questions for the CFA together with your instructor and other test reviewers which means you can ask questions directly to your instructor and even have the opportunity to learn alongside other aspiring professionals in the finance industry. If you feel you're struggling with certain topics and want to work on them under the supervision of your instructor, the course also lets you request a one-on-one meeting with him or her outside of class. This personalized session can be a very effective way to make sense of things you don't understand without feeling overly self-conscious in class.
