Members-Only Event: Ask An Egyptologist

Grades 5-9

The ancient Egyptians left us much to remember them by–pyramids, hieroglyphs, mummies, and more–but they also left us with a great many questions about their great civilization. That’s why learning members are invited to an exclusive event with Egyptologist Dr. Colleen Darnell, who’s ready to answer everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Egypt.

How it works:

•Once registered, learning members will have the chance to pre-submit questions in this form (Egyptologists like to be prepared, of course!). Then during the event, they’ll be able to chat directly with Dr. Darnell, too.

•Don’t have questions yet? The session will cover the most commonly-asked questions first so that everyone gets a deep understanding of Egyptian history highlights and feels inspired to ask follow-up questions. Then we’ll delve into some of the more fun and unexpected questions so that learners can impress their friends with little-known Egypt trivia.

•Registration is limited to the first 75 members to sign up, in order to preserve a small-group seminar feel.
