I am a graduate of Grand Canyon University where I obtained my Master's Degree in Education Administration/School Leadership. I have been in education for 23 years and have tutored students throughout these years. My background is teaching students with disabilities. I also work with adults teaching ESOL during the evening/night hours. I enjoy teaching students reading strategies because reading is a fundamental skill that everyone must have and many students struggle in this area. I also enjoy teaching students test taking strategies. Students have to take many test and assessments therefore they need to be taught the proper strategies to use when taking test. During my leisure time, I enjoy listening to music, nice walks in the park, reading or listening to an audio book and spending time with my family and friends.

I am a UC Berkeley student double majoring in Psychology and Art Practice, expected to graduate in May of 2026. I have taught English, Literature, Writing, Psychology, and College Success courses. I continued my education at McNeese State in LA and completed my Masters in Biology Education in 1994. I have taught in Louisiana, Colorado, and Texas. Teaching is my passion and I have taught for 35 years and attended a variety of classes throughout this time. My primary focus is science but I have interests in English and have taught this subject. I have experiences with high school and middle school students. My experiences include accelerated learners and challenged learners. I have taught face to face and virtually. I can work with one student, several students, or a class. I have a good sense of humor and I will often add it to the learning experience.
