Sign Language For Beginners
Grades K-2
Learn the fundamentals of American Sign Language (ASL) in this highly interactive class for beginners. Here, students will learn to sign the alphabet, numbers, and basic words and phrases, including:

Greetings and introductions

Directions and “getting around” phrases

Weather and nature words

Time and calendar words
-
And words and phrases related to students’ hobbies and interests
Students will leave the class able to strike up basic conversations in ASL and with a deep appreciation for sign language as a form of communication.
