Jump Start to 6th Grade Writing
Grades 5-6
Beat the summer slide and give your rising 6th-grader a running start into the school year with Jump Start writing classes this summer. Over 6 weekly sessions, students will review key building block skills from 5th grade and get advanced practice with the new skills they’ll encounter in the early months of 6th grade this fall.
Jump Start to 6th Grade Writing will emphasize research and use of evidence to support claims in opinion and informative essays, as well as character and plot development in narratives, preparing students to expand their writing range in the school year to come.
